Our Projects

The actualization of the Vision and Mission of the NCCK is achieved through the Council’s Programme Work.

The programme work is guided by the Corporate Plan. Currently, the Council is implementing the 8th Corporate Plan (2024 – 2028), which is premised on the theme “Dignified Livelihoods; Resilient Communities (Galatians 6: 9)”.

The Corporate Plan, having been developed through a nation-wide consultative process after an indepth survey, outlines the priority needs that the Council will endeavour to address in the five year period. These needs were then clustered into four Thematic Areas, under which the Council works with partners to implement specific projects / interventions.

The thematic areas are:
Thriving communities with enhanced capacities for sustainable, and dignified livelihoods.

b) Governance, Devolution, Peace and Cohesion
Strengthened governance at the county and national level, and enhanced peaceful coexistence.

Improved community resilience on effects of climate change, improved food security; and sustainable management and utilization of natural resources.

d) Education and Health
To influence the value-based education system and enhance capacities of communities to access quality and affordable healthcare services.
